Major Responsibilities:

 Set roles and responsibilities for the department (present and future);
 Develop the department Business Plan and allocate the necessary resources;
 Develop ENG associates abilities to perform their job;
 Supervise progress of ENG associates work and provide necessary feedback;
 Maintain project schedules by ensuring that all department associates have the tools required to perform their functions including workspace layout, all hardware and software requirements, updated reference materials, and setting or revising procedures and policies as necessary;
 Comply with all managerial requests from upper management, including generating reports, presentations, business plans, budget, Department development, etc.;
 Recognize current & potential problems that may arise during project cycles and apply problem-solving techniques to resolve schedule and technical issues;
 Maintain design specifications; support internal ISO audits;
 Manage cycle time, manpower and budget of trial products;
 Plan and implement Product Engineering business plan;
 Research, plan and implement future product technology and production technology.

Qualifications:

 Bachelors Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline;
 5+ years experience in automotive setting;
 3+ Years CAD/CATIA System Management/Development.
 Engineering and Project Management;
 Personnel Management and Leadership skills;
 Fluently bilingual with English and Japanese;
 Multi-tasking across disciplines;
 Budget and Business planning;
 Highly proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, CAD/PLM development experience;
 Liaison Customer negotiation Skills;
 Proven/Superior level written and oral Communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of Associates and outside contacts (Customer, Sister Companies, Other departments, Suppliers);
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
 Knowledge of operating machinery;
 Industrial material knowledge for prototype builds;
 Ability to make quick and precise decisions;
 Excellent organization skills with ability to perform multiple tasks and obtain results working within strict time frames.
